1. Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Experience in the area of facility sanitation and minor maintenance repairs

· Ability in new construction as well as building repair/maintenance

· Valid NYS Drivers License

2. Accountability

Accountable to the Coordinator of the Facilities Maintenance Department

3. Responsibilities

· Paint as needed, drywall

· Maintain log on company vehicle used for off-site work (mileage)

· Safe and proper use of all Agency tools and equipment

· Submit all bills and paperwork for material purchases to supervisor

· Basic repair in plumbing, carpentry, electrical and roof work as well as floor and wall tile ceramic and vinyl.

· Clean as needed

4. General Responsibilities:

· Snow removal as needed

· Maintain campus, group homes, Day Hab and Annex buildings

· Access any safety issues

· Follow instruction of supervisor

· Work as part of a team to help repair, maintain a safe and clean environment for students/consumers

· Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

5. Physical Responsibilities

·Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during work hours

·Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position

·Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable

these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position

can be fully met

·Must function independently, have personal integrity, be flexible and able to work

effectively with other personnel

·Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
