Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of cath lab experience for a 16-week contract position at a community hospital setting.
Details
- Single-room cardiac catheterization lab within a community hospital setting
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures performed
- Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirements
- Variable hours based on procedural volume and department needs
- 16-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of recent cardiac catheterization lab experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related program
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- RCIS certification preferred; ARRT accepted with cardiac catheterization experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, cardiovascular anatomy, and cardiac procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
- State license required if applicable
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms and supplies, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the clinical team throughout procedures
- Document procedural information accurately and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed
