Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves supporting surgical procedures with a focus on circulating experience, utilizing advanced equipment, and adhering to facility protocols. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky
- Schedule: Three days from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, four days from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and three days from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a surgical technician or operating room technician, circulating experience, BLS certification, CST certification. Skilled in Foley catheter placement, chest tube management, and AED use. Knowledge of EMR systems (Cerner) and operating room equipment such as Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR beds, stretchers. Robotics experience preferred but not required.
- Additional Information: Robotics experience preferred. Support within the department includes relieving others for lunch breaks. Scrub color required: Ceil Blue. Parking is free with badge access.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to relieve staff for lunch breaks anywhere in the OR.
- Orientation: NEO orientation for a full week and specific shifts.
- Schedule: Flexibility with open plain days, schedule made in 6-week cycles.
- Other notes: No specific supervisory or administrative duties outlined.
