Travel X-Ray Technologist – Nights
Location: Lapeer, Michigan
Shift: Nights (8:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
On-Call: None
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join its Imaging Department on a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, producing high-quality images, and ensuring exceptional patient care while working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the EMR.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain equipment and report any operational issues.
Requirements
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience
- Active state license if required
- BLS Certification preferred
- Hospital-based imaging experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
