Job Summary:
A Surgical Technologist or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role involves assisting in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting the surgical team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program; BLS certification from American Heart Association; Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License; 2 or more years of experience preferred

- Responsibilities: Perform a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing patients for surgery, maintaining sterile technique, supporting patient comfort, transporting patients, positioning patients, handling biological specimens, setting up operating rooms, and assistive tasks as directed by physicians. Maintain safe environments, adhere to universal barrier precautions, and ensure proper sterilization of instruments and supplies. Demonstrate clinical expertise and teamwork in all surgical procedures.
- Additional Information: Float to other departments as needed; 1-2 weekend call shifts of 24 hours each per schedule; 1-2 call nights per week; backfill for permanent associate; one position available.
