Customs Compliance Specialist - Now Hiring

Our client, a leader in international trade and logistics, is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to join their team. As a Customs Compliance Specialist, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the Import/Export Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proactive communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Romulus, MI

Pay Range: $49920 - $62000

What's the Job?

• Review and verify customs declarations and documentation for accuracy.
• Classify goods using Harmonized System (HS) codes and ensure proper valuation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international customs laws, including the Customs Modernization Act and Tariff Act of 1930.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update internal procedures accordingly.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in customs compliance, international logistics, or trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, valuation methods, and trade agreements.
• Familiarity with customs software and ERP systems.
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or similar certification is a plus.
