Radiologic Technologist (Full Time Or Per Diem) $65-$80/hr

 

We are partnering with a growing healthcare provider organization that operates community-based ambulatory care clinics and medical practices throughout Santa Clara County. The organization is committed to delivering coordinated, patient-centered care while simplifying the healthcare experience for both patients and providers. FULL TIME is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Per Diem will float between 4 Clinics in the Santa Clara County area

 

The Radiologic Technologist is a multimodality imaging professional responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures under general supervision using high-frequency electromagnetic radiation (x-ray) equipment. This role supports physicians in diagnosing injuries and medical conditions through high-quality imaging services. Responsibilities may include operating conventional, fluoroscopic, and portable radiology equipment, as well as assisting physicians with more advanced imaging procedures involving contrast administration and sterile technique support.

 

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Imaging

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopic imaging when applicable
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation
  • Prepare and accurately position patients for imaging studies
  • Utilize immobilization devices and positioning techniques to obtain optimal diagnostic images
  • Determine appropriate technical factors and exposure settings based on patient body type, anatomy, age, and physician orders while adhering to ALARA principles
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images with appropriate anatomical detail, density, and positioning
  • Practice radiation safety and protection standards for patients, staff, and self
  • Assist physicians during sterile procedures and contrast-enhanced studies as needed

Equipment, Documentation & Compliance

  • Perform and document daily equipment quality checks, calibration, and functionality testing
  • Maintain required documentation and credentials in compliance with California state and federal regulations
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly to management and Clinical Engineering
  • Process and review images for quality assurance and proper patient identification
  • Complete required documentation, logs, reports, and imaging records accurately
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety, infection control, and organizational policies

Operational & Team Support

  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff
  • Support departmental goals, workflow efficiency, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance enhancement activities
  • Complete required training and educational modules
  • Document follow-up information within internal systems to support provider and patient communications
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Science or higher
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist License (CRT)
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography – (R)(ARRT)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of diagnostic x-ray experience preferred
  • Experience working with PACS and RIS systems
  • Typing proficiency of at least 40 WPM
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent patient service and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Team-oriented mindset with flexibility and willingness to support others
