Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Illinois
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $59,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience

Are you passionate about helping children achieve greater independence and success in their daily lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality pediatric therapy services in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional independence, self-care skills, and overall quality of life. This role also includes educating families, recommending adaptive equipment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support each child's development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and standardized assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor client progress.
  • Educate and coach families on therapeutic strategies and home programs.
  • Recommend and train clients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and agency regulations.
  • Participate in treatment planning meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and support student clinical instruction.
  • Participate in continuing education and staff training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current NBCOT Registration.
  • Current Illinois Occupational Therapist License.
  • Infant/Child CPR and Basic First Aid Certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, TB test, and required health screenings.
  • Experience in pediatric therapy preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy best practices.
  • Experience working with children with developmental delays and physical disabilities.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client and family-centered care.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transfer, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in an active clinical environment.
