A Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center environment. This role ensures the timely loading and unloading of products while maintaining safety standards and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Stack and organize products to optimize warehouse space and accessibility.
- Inspect forklifts before operation to ensure safe working conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to reduce workplace accidents.
- Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
