Construction Superintendent

I am seeking a highly organized Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This full-time role reports to management and plays a critical part in coordinating field activities, managing resources, and driving project success.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and look-ahead plans
  • Oversee daily construction operations and maintain accurate daily reports
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, and contract documents
  • Coordinate workflows to ensure alignment with project requirements

On-Site Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Lead site meetings and proactively resolve project challenges

Cost & Resource Management

  • Monitor field costs and ensure work stays within budget
  • Optimize workforce productivity and equipment utilization
  • Support change order reviews and subcontractor payment validation

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a safety-first culture
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site

Quality Control & Closeout

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and corporate QC procedures
  • Identify and address issues proactively
  • Manage punch lists and support timely project closeout

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent (commercial required)
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, field operations, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, Autodesk, Bluebeam, and similar tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license required; must pass background check and drug screening
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
