Summary

  • Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T), Aseptic & Microbial Process Control Sciences (AMPCS), is seeking an engaged, organized, self-driven individual to perform microbiology laboratory testing and evaluate microbial growth characteristics in support of clinical and commercial technology transfers. The successful candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams and independently to meet project goals.

Key responsibilities and projects:

  • Support Clinical and Commercial Tech Transfers Project:
  • Perform Microbial Characteristics Testing
  • Perform basic microbiology testing (e.g., bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing) using aseptic technique.
  • Perform laboratory tests and related support work using standard and computerized equipment (e.g., electronic lab notebook) according to approved protocols/procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory operations by cleaning equipment, supporting preventive-maintenance schedules, and managing lab supplies.
  • Document test results and write test reports that describe methods and outcomes, including authoring final reports as needed.
  • Draft, review, and approve technical documents that support technology transfers.
  • Network buffer microbial-characteristics gap assessment project
  • Perform microbial-characteristics testing on network buffers where required characteristics are missing per the gap assessment.
  • Support development of electronic checklists for sterility and microbial-control project

Education:

  • Required bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology or equivalent STEM field

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of lab experience required
  • Knowledge of microbiology, cell culture or biochemistry laboratory techniques
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques
  • Strong detail orientation with good organizational skills
  • Technical writing skills and skills in AI/digital solutions.
