Nurse LPN

The Director of Nursing position is responsible for the provision of quality nursing / health services necessary to maintain the health and well-being of individuals served while ensuring an expedient response to identified health needs within community homes. This responsibility includes planning, organizing, training, delegating and monitoring the nursing activities of the Residential Staff. This supervision will also vary in degree of intensity based on the needs of each individual served as well as staff capabilities. The job responsibilities also include protecting and affirming the rights of the individuals by creating a healthy environment responsive to their needs.   The Director of Nursing must be able to effectively supervise the nursing component of community homes.  This position must be able to independently make decisions that impact health and wellbeing of each individual's life as well as general nursing policies and procedures implemented by staff.  Director of Nursing must be able to communicate efficiently between LPN’s, Doctors, Coordinators, Individuals, Upper Management, Support Staff, Public Agencies and Families.
