Southern Minnesota
MLT: $25 - $37/hr | MLS: $30 - $44/hr
Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join a dedicated laboratory team in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This opportunity offers a consistent schedule, strong autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit healthcare environment.
Schedule
• Full-Time: Monday – Thursday
• 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• 40 Hours Per Week
• Rotating Holidays
• Occasional Weekend Rotation
• Occasional On-Call Coverage (Must be able to respond within 30 minutes)
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct specimen collection and phlebotomy services.
• Perform blood bank testing and transfusion-related procedures.
• Analyze, verify, and report accurate laboratory results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards.
• Document results accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to support patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and laboratory process enhancements.
Qualifications
• Associate Degree (MLT) or Bachelor’s Degree (MLS) in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current ASCP Certification as MLT or MLS required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required at time of submission.
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous Phlebotomy experience required.
• Blood Bank experience required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
