Pharmacist in Shallowater, TX

This opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacist to provide night shift pharmacy services at a children’s hospital in Shallowater, TX. The role begins immediately with a 6-month contract assignment, offering the chance to work within a pediatric-focused environment that values specialized experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and verification during the night shift (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely pharmaceutical care
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems proficiently for inpatient pharmacy operations
• Support patient safety and adherence to hospital policies, focusing on pediatric needs
• Transition to a day shift role later in the assignment to cover a pharmacist on FMLA, extending through January 13, 2027

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license
• Proven experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience required, with pediatric background highly preferred
• Ability to work a 7 days on/7 days off schedule during night hours
