Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with a full-service real estate development organization focused on high-quality affordable multifamily and mixed-use residential communities throughout California.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career project management professional who wants to grow within real estate development, affordable housing, construction coordination, and project finance. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with experienced Project Managers and cross-functional teams on multiple development projects, gaining exposure to financing applications, entitlements, design coordination, construction oversight, lease-up, and long-term asset quality.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by mission-driven work that supports housing for low-income families, seniors, veterans, artists, and individuals with special needs. This role offers a collaborative team environment, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to build a strong career path in real estate development and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare, and complete financing applications and proposals for private and public funding agencies related to housing and community development.
- Support financing closings by coordinating due diligence, legal, and financial documents with attorneys, lenders, investors, escrow, and title companies.
- Assist with project budgets, cash flow projections, schedules, real estate acquisitions, and entitlement-related activities.
- Support architectural design coordination, construction period oversight, project reporting, and communication with development partners.
- Assist Project Managers during initial lease-up, move-in activities, and coordination with Asset Management to support long-term project quality.
- Provide administrative and project coordination support to Project Managers and the broader Development Team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
- Work arrangement may include working from home as required by public health directives.
