Job Description
- 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Mon–Fri) or 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (weekends)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (Mon–Fri) or 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (weekends)
- 12-week rotating schedule (set for the full year)
We are hiring a Mixer Operator to support multiple production lines by accurately mixing materials and keeping production running efficiently. This role involves weighing ingredients, operating mixing systems, and following strict safety and quality procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
- Mix materials according to established formulas and product specifications
- Ensure production lines remain supplied and running efficiently
- Weigh and measure ingredients using scales with accuracy
- Understand material flow from bins to mixers and overall mixing system operations
- Verify all required ingredients before starting each batch
- Follow quality control and cleanout procedures to prevent contamination
- Use mixing software to monitor and manage processes
- Communicate with team members and other departments to coordinate materials
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials and equipment
- Maintain steady production rates and minimize downtime
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time
- Perform basic maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling equipment
- Industrial setting in the pressing department near kiln operations
- Non-climate-controlled facility (temperatures may reach ~110°ree;F in summer)
- Dusty environment with raw materials and sand particles
- Physically active role in a manufacturing setting
This is a Contract position based out of Thomasville, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.56 - $24.56/hr.
