Job Description
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15,000
Relocation Bonus: Up to $5,000
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join a collaborative care team in Wabash, Indiana. You'll work in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a diverse orthopedic caseload—including sports injuries, post-operative cases, joint replacements, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions—while collaborating closely with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients using clinical tests, medical history, and observation to develop individualized treatment plans
- Design and implement interventions for joint replacements, sports injuries, sprains/strains, post-surgical rehab, work-related injuries, and balance disorders
- Apply evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with professional and legal standards
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- DPT or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Indiana PT license (or eligible)
- CPR certification
- Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of outpatient orthopedic PT experience (new grads with strong clinical rotations considered)
- Specialty certification or training: McKenzie, Maitland, Dry Needling, or Graston
- Familiarity with EMR systems
Schedule
Monday–Friday, flexible scheduling options. No weekends or holidays required.
