Job Description
The Clean Room Assembler performs a variety of production tasks, from repetitive to non-repetitive work, to assemble component parts into sub-assemblies and completed units while following clearly defined standard operating procedures. This role operates in a cleanroom environment, uses microscopes and other tools to perform precise assembly work, and may conduct quality inspections on the processing line to ensure products meet established quality specifications. The position works under close supervision, with all work reviewed for accuracy and any deviations from standard procedures approved in advance.
Responsibilities
- Assemble component parts into assemblies, sub-assemblies, or completed units by following standard operating procedures and written instructions.
- Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive production tasks with attention to detail and consistency.
- Operate within a cleanroom environment, adhering to all cleanroom protocols and contamination control practices.
- Use a microscope and other inspection tools to perform detailed and precise assembly work as required.
- Conduct basic quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with established quality specifications and guidelines.
- Identify any deviations from standard procedures and obtain supervisor approval before proceeding.
- Maintain required licenses, training, and certifications relevant to cleanroom and assembly work.
- Follow all quality guidelines and document work accurately to support traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to clarify instructions and resolve routine issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and cleanroom standards.
- Previous experience in assembly or warehouse environments.
- Ability to follow clearly defined standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Basic cleanroom skills, including working within contamination control guidelines.
- Ability to perform assembly tasks using a microscope and other basic production tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive and routine tasks.
- Willingness to work under close supervision with all work reviewed for accuracy.
- Capability to adhere to all quality guidelines and production standards.
- Ability to maintain required licenses, training, and certifications as needed for the role.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
- Familiarity with basic quality inspection practices on a processing or production line.
- Comfort with routine, structured work and clearly defined processes.
- Ability to learn and apply basic scientific or technical methods as instructed.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to following safety and quality procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.65 - $19.40/hr.
