Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

This role supports a clean and organized manufacturing operation by operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and handling raw materials. You ensure trim pieces meet exact measurements and specifications, assist with light preventative maintenance, and follow established safety and quality standards while working as part of a small, collaborative crew across various shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Measure trim pieces accurately, ensuring proper measurements, dimensions, and angles according to specifications.
  • Perform regular quality checks on products to confirm they meet established standards and customer requirements.
  • Load raw materials into machines and production lines safely and efficiently.
  • Operate manufacturing and production equipment in line with company procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct light preventative maintenance on machines, including basic adjustments and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Use a tape measure accurately within 1/32" to verify dimensions and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform quality tests and document results as required to support continuous quality control.
  • Follow written policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards at all times.
  • Use basic computer systems to enter production data, access work instructions, or complete required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move products and materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with a crew of 2 to 4 people and contribute positively to a larger manufacturing team.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisors or other members of management to support production needs.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing experience in a production or general labor environment.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately within 1/32".
  • Basic computer experience to handle production-related tasks and documentation.
  • Basic math skills to perform measurements, counts, and simple calculations.
  • Ability to understand and follow written policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machine failures and make minor adjustments.
  • Ability to perform quality tests and interpret results to maintain product standards.
  • Capability to work in accordance with established quality and safety standards and policies.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Previous forklift experience and ability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Background in inspection and quality-related tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a small crew and support a larger manufacturing team.
  • Comfort working in a moderate-noise production environment.
  • Willingness to work any of the available shifts, including first, second, or third shift.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very clean and organized manufacturing facility with a production-focused environment. You will work in a manufacturing and production area with moderate noise levels. Temperatures can be warmer during the summer months, while winter conditions remain comfortable. Crews typically consist of 2 to 4 people, and you will be part of a broader manufacturing team of more than 15 people. The position follows structured shifts, including first shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and third shift (6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.), providing clear scheduling and expectations within a stable production environment.
