Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity as part of a dedicated team of five Speech Language Pathologists supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Located in a welcoming community near Kenai, AK, this assignment is ideal for passionate professionals eager to make a positive impact in the lives of children and adolescents.

Openings are available for SLPs (CCC or CF), as well as SLP Assistants (SLPA). Both new graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Alaska Educator Certification required for SLP; not needed for SLPA
  • SLPA must possess AK SLPA license
  • Background in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Will consider SLP Clinical Fellows and SLP Assistants

Role Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time, contract position (37.5 paid hours weekly; 8-hour days with 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Academic year: August 17, 2026, through May 21, 2027
  • Engage with caseloads up to 55 students (assignments depend on site and building needs)
  • Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to students across all grade levels
  • Create and implement IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support educational goals
  • Provide direct and consultative services, data collection, and ongoing progress monitoring
