Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication needs in a vibrant school environment for the 26/27 school year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to work hands-on with preschool to 8th-grade learners, with a focus on our youngest PK students. Dates run from September 8 through June 18, providing a set schedule of two days per week—ideal for those seeking flexibility and meaningful engagement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- School-based experience or strong understanding of educational therapy models
- Knowledge and practical use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Comfort working with PK-8 caseload; primary focus on preschool students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs
- Collaborate closely with special education staff and classroom teachers
- Model AAC strategies and provide training to students and educational partners
- Document progress and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Communicate regularly with families to ensure a holistic approach to support
