Per Diem Retail Pharmacy Technician - Elk Grove, California

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Reliable Pharmacy Technicians are needed to support a dynamic per diem retail pharmacy team serving the greater Sacramento area, including possible coverage extending to Lodi and Stockton. Candidates must be prepared to commute throughout this region, with flexibility to cover multiple locations as needed.

This role offers consistent weekly revenue opportunities by working 2-3 days per week or more based on availability. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. The position starts as soon as possible and involves typical high-volume retail pharmacy duties that require strong multitasking and communication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle prescription processing, including label printing and data entry
• Assist customers at the cash register and manage inventory tasks
• Perform medication dispensing and returns (takebacks)
• Answer phones and collaborate effectively with team members
• Support other daily retail functions as necessary

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting (candidates with less than 1 year of experience will not be considered)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in California; PTCB certification preferred
• Willingness and ability to reliably commute and cover multiple locations across the greater Sacramento area
• Availability for days, evenings, and weekend shifts

Additional Details:

• Training provided for a few days to ensure smooth onboarding
• Mileage reimbursement offered for travel greater than 30 miles to service locations
• Pay rates vary by experience, with higher rates for candidates possessing 2+ and 4+ years of retail pharmacy experience
