School-Based Physical Therapist - Callao, Virginia

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Based near Callao, VA, this onsite, part-time role allows you to inspire and support K-12 students, helping them achieve their physical goals and classroom success. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Physical Therapist licensure in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability for a dynamic school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with individual education plans
• Complete detailed assessments and maintain comprehensive progress notes
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to deliver coordinated support to students
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and student IEP development
• Educate school staff and families on best practices for supporting student mobility and participation
• Adapt therapy equipment and interventions as necessary
