Job Description
We are currently in search of a dedicated Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join our 6-6-6 Family Medicine Residency Program, situated within a 116-bed community hospital. The ideal candidate should be board certified in Family Medicine and possess comprehensive experience in full-scope family medicine, including obstetrics. A commitment to delivering care in both inpatient and outpatient environments is essential. While fellowship training is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
The primary focus of this role will be on educating residents, with additional responsibilities that include teaching medical students and supervising advanced practice providers.

Key responsibilities will encompass:
On-call duties: 1:2 for practice-based, low-volume obstetric patients; no overnight calls required for hospitalist shifts.
Office call: 1:6 (phone calls only, with residents handling initial calls).
Practice locations: Abingdon, VA, and Marion, VA.
