American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: 3x12 Day shifts (shift times vary: 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30). Weekend coverage required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. Call limited to coverage for any call-offs only. May float to like units as needed.
Highlights:- 13-week travel assignment at a 407-bed acute care Magnet facility and Level II Trauma Center
- Comprehensive surgical services including robotics (XI Robot, Mazor Robot Spine, Stealth), trauma, bariatric, orthopedic/spine, neurosurgery, gynecology, ENT, urology, vascular, and pediatric procedures
- Epic charting system with 18 operating rooms and average daily census of 40
- Free parking provided; scrubs supplied
- Interdisciplinary support including radiology, pharmacy, lift teams, interpretation services, and transportation
- 40 hours of orientation provided
- Active Alaska RN license (required in hand for expedited offer; pending license accepted but takes 10-12 weeks to process)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Comprehensive OR skills including scrubbing and circulating for general surgery, orthopedic, neurosurgery, trauma, gynecology, urology, vascular, ENT, ophthalmology, and thoracic procedures
- Experience with robotic surgery systems, laparoscopic procedures, and specialized equipment preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
