As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, your role will be crucial in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients. You will manage a range of nursing procedures, ensuring that each individual receives tailored and compassionate attention. While your primary focus will be the ICU, you may also be required to assist in the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics during periods of low patient volume.

  • Administer nursing care to critically ill patients in a 5-bed ICU
  • Facilitate inpatient recovery for post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients
  • Follow physicians' orders, care standards, and hospital regulations
  • Operate both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Keep patient records and care plans current and accurate

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU environment
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Active and unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • COVID-19 vaccination (medical and religious exemptions may be considered)
