Job Description
Our organization, a comprehensive network of physician clinics, outpatient facilities, and hospitals spanning four states, is seeking a family medicine physician with a fellowship in sports medicine to become part of our family medicine residency program located in Wilmington, NC.
Become a member of an ACGME accredited 6-6-6 community program with Osteopathic Recognition, associated with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
The selected candidate will have the chance to establish a new sports medicine program within family medicine and collaborate with a nearby military base to create a sports medicine fellowship.
Applicants should possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Family Medicine. While prior experience in residency teaching or private practice is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Responsibilities will include educating residents and students, providing patient care (with optional low-risk obstetrics), engaging in administrative tasks, and conducting research.

Compensation and academic rank will be aligned with the candidate's qualifications and experience, with promotions managed through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Department of Family Medicine.
