American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of ED experience and TNCC certification.

- Work setting is a large, short-term acute care Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,567 staffed beds \n
- Emergency Department unit with an average patient ratio of 1:6 on both day and night shifts \n
- Primary assignment to one campus with potential rotation to other campuses and ED observation units \n
- Travelers are not assigned to trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units \n
- Charting via Epic EMR \n
- Schedule is 4x12-hour shifts; available shifts are Days (11:00–23:00) and Evenings (15:00–03:00) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call requirement \n
- Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs \n
- Block scheduling is available upon request \n

- Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted) \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC \n
- Minimum of 1.5 years of ED RN experience from a comparable hospital setting; 2 years preferred \n
- Level I Trauma Center experience required \n
- Large academic medical center or large facility experience required \n
- Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions \n
- 1 professional reference required for consideration \n
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position \n

- Cross-training and floating to other campuses (EDNP1 Observation, York Street Campus ED, and Saint Raphael Campus ED) is expected \n
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate \n
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being eligible as a traveler \n
- RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require managerial approval \n
- Weekend call-out policy is in effect: any missed weekend shift must be made up on a subsequent weekend within the next 6-week scheduling period \n
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted \n
- COVID vaccination exemptions are accepted for religious or medical reasons only \n
- Travelers are expected to participate in any natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility \n
- Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month \n
