American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of med/surg experience plus stepdown/PCU background, with night shifts and a 13-week contract.
Details- 29-bed general surgical and orthopedic unit with medical overflow (4T MS unit)
- Handles surgical, orthopedic, and medical overflow patient populations
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
- Floating to the PCU unit is required as needed
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Meditech EMR is used
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
- Active SC RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand — SC licensure must already be obtained
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience required
- Stepdown/PCU experience required due to float responsibilities
- IV insertion skills required
- No license or background hits will be accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Provide nursing care to general surgical, orthopedic, and medical overflow patients
- Travel nursing experience is preferred but first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are not provided — royal blue or white scrubs required
