Duties

• Prepare detailed survey drawings, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD
• Convert field survey data collected via GPS, 3D scanners, hand tools, and other data collection methods into accurate digital formats.
• Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to interpret land survey data, including topography, boundaries, utilities, and existing structures.
• Utilize GIS tools such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping to support project planning and execution.
• Perform utility locating tasks to identify underground infrastructure using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Assist in creating 3D models of terrain and structures for visualization and construction planning.
• Support construction teams by providing detailed CAD schematics and layout plans for site development.
• Conduct data analysis to ensure survey accuracy and resolve discrepancies in measurements or drawings.
• Operate technical equipment such as the 3D scanner or GPS units safely while maintaining calibration standards.
• Maintain organized records of all survey data, drawings, reports, and project documentation for easy retrieval and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with land surveying practices including data collection, drafting, and CAD modeling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, ETC.
• Strong understanding of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles relevant to surveying calculations.
• Knowledge of utility locating techniques and the use of GPS technology for precise positioning.
• Familiarity with 3D scanning technology for capturing detailed site information.
• Ability to interpret schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent data analysis skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across disciplines.
