CVOR Surgical Technologist

Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

• NBSTSA Certification required
• Previous travel experience required
• Minimum 2 years of consecutive Cardiovascular Surgery experience
• Strong Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgery experience required
• Experience assisting in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgeons during cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeries
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instrumentation during procedures
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and operating room protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care throughout the perioperative process

Assignment Details:

• No floating required
• On-call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Typical staffing ratio: 1 Surgical Technologist to 3 operating rooms/procedures as applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive CVOR experience in acute care hospital settings
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
