We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled B - A Level Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. This full-time position is ideal for a dedicated professional who possesses comprehensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, heavy-duty truck repair, and fleet maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
As a B - A Level technician, you will work with minimal supervision, demonstrating advanced technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. This role requires someone who can handle complex repairs, mentor junior technicians, and maintain the highest standards of workmanship while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other heavy-duty truck components using advanced diagnostic equipment and software
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on Class 4-8 commercial vehicles and heavy equipment
- Conduct engine overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, machining coordination, reassembly, and testing of diesel engines
- Repair and rebuild fuel injection systems, turbochargers, air intake systems, and exhaust systems including DPF and DEF systems
- Diagnose and repair transmission issues, including manual, automatic, and automated manual transmissions
- Perform brake system repairs and adjustments on air brake systems, including ABS troubleshooting
- Repair and maintain suspension systems, steering components, and drivetrain assemblies
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs according to manufacturer recommendations and company standards
