Location: This is a fully on-site role based across multiple build sites in the Greater Milwaukee area, putting you right where the action is. Enjoy working in your own community while making a lasting impact close to home.
Note: This role requires 7+ years of hands-on rough and finish carpentry experience and 2+ years in a project management or site leadership capacity. Candidates who do not meet both thresholds will not be considered. We are not open to relocation for this position.

Job Description
- Manage all daily construction activities across assigned build sites, keeping projects on schedule and on standard
- Work hands-on alongside volunteers and future homeowners on framing, siding, and finish carpentry
- Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to create a safe, engaging, and positive site experience for all participants
- Support the Construction Manager in planning and coordinating build schedules including subcontractors, inspectors, and material deliveries
- Maintain full responsibility for code compliance, site safety, quality standards, and readiness for inspections
- Ensure all sites are stocked with the tools and materials needed to keep work moving without delay
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent working condition and keep a clean, organized worksite
- Serve as the decision-maker on site, providing clear direction to ensure a productive workflow
- Communicate project progress, emerging challenges, and potential delays to leadership proactively
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on rough and finish carpentry experience (required)
- 2+ years in a project management, site supervision, or construction leadership role (required)
- Working knowledge of local building codes and construction best practices
- Comfortable using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move tools and materials on an active construction site
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent field experience welcomed
- Passion for community service and alignment with the Habitat for Humanity mission
