Occupational Therapist

 

University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Southeast MI Region. Must be willing to travel. In this role, you will provide individualized therapy services to help clients improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop personalized therapy plans.
• Provide occupational therapy treatments to improve clients’ functional abilities and independence.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and standards of care.

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan.
• Proven experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a home care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• BS or MS degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
