Director of Clinical Services Residential Treatment (Adolescent Males)
Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC)is seeking a dynamic and experiencedDirector of Clinical Servicesto lead clinical services within our residential treatment program serving adolescent males. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a high-performing, trauma-informed care environment.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Active clinical licensure (LISW, LPC, or LMFT) required
- Clinical supervisor designation strongly preferred
- 5+ years of clinical experience working with adolescents
- 3+ years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in residential treatment and child-serving systems strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight
- Provide strategic direction and oversight of all clinical services and programming
- Lead individualized treatment planning and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure services are trauma-informed, evidence-based, and gender-responsive
- Evaluate program effectiveness and implement continuous quality improvements
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state licensing standards for residential treatment
- Oversee adherence to Medicaid, managed care, and accreditation requirements
- Lead audit readiness, inspections, and quality assurance reviews
Staff Supervision & Development
- Provide clinical supervision to therapists, case managers, and interns
- Conduct evaluations, coaching, and competency development
- Lead onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and culturally responsive team environment
Direct Clinical Support
- Conduct diagnostic and risk assessments as needed
- Support crisis intervention, safety planning, and high-acuity cases
- Maintain a limited caseload when necessary
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- Review treatment plans, progress notes, and incident reports
- Oversee mandatory reporting and critical incident processes
Collaboration
- Serve as liaison with families, courts, schools, and external partners
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and residential teams to support outcomes
Core Competencies
- Strong expertise in trauma-informed care and adolescent development
- Proficiency in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, MI, and EMDR)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and documentation standards
Work Environment
- Residential treatment setting (24/7 operations)
- On-call rotation required
- Occasional evenings and weekends
