Position Overview:
The Specialty Technician is responsible for executing advanced, technical, and high-difficulty cleaning
and restoration services that extend beyond standard janitorial work. This role demands a high level of
technical competence, mastery of specialized machinery, and strict adherence to environmental safety
protocols to meet and exceed client expectations. To succeed in this role, you must have a commitment to
excellence, technical diligence, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and effectively
in complex field environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of quality and precision across specialized cleaning and restoration projects
• Perform mold remediation, asset demolition support, tactical fire and water damage restoration, and advanced field cleaning tasks
• Execute environmental deep cleaning, biohazard decontamination, and infectious disease disinfecting protocols using required PPE
• Set up containment zones and support preliminary air quality testing to maintain site isolation and safety
• Identify severe odor sources and determine appropriate treatment plans across multiple facility types
• Operate tri-jet foggers, thermal foggers, ozone treatment machinery, extraction equipment, pressure washing systems, and floor restoration machinery
• Perform indoor high-pressure extraction and no-touch cleaning to remove severe buildup, calcium, rust, and heavy contaminants
• Complete outdoor power washing for graffiti removal, organic growth, structural dirt, and other heavy-duty cleaning needs
• Deliver advanced floor restoration, technical floor maintenance, and specialized fabric, upholstery, rug, sofa, couch, and loveseat care
• Execute high dusting procedures in high-ceiling commercial environments using safe work practices
• Manage large-scale property cleanouts, skip clearances, hoarding cleanups, and major post-event trash removal
• Inspect, operate, and maintain advanced restoration machinery, floor scrubbers, pressure systems, and related equipment
• Mix, monitor, and manage chemical inventories while following dilution requirements, material compatibility standards, and SDS guidance
• Communicate professionally with clients, team members, supervisors, facility owners, and field stakeholders
• Complete technical tasks within assigned timeframes while maintaining quality, safety, and documentation standards
• Document site issues, structural concerns, hazards, damages, unusual occurrences, completed tasks, checklists, and equipment or chemical usage
Required Qualifications
• 2–3 years of experience in heavy-duty commercial restoration, technical pressure washing, mold remediation, environmental cleaning, or a related field
• Valid Driver’s License required to operate company vehicles and travel to field locations
• Strong technical aptitude, organizational ability, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow complex technical instructions, safety charts, chemical handling requirements, and field safety procedures
• Ability to lift and carry restoration machinery and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear specialized PPE, including full-face respirators and hazmat suits, for extended periods
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders or lifts, and perform strenuous physical work for extended periods
• Willingness to work in high-exposure environments involving chemicals, dust, mold, biohazards, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills
• Certifications related to restoration, remediation, environmental cleaning, safety, or specialty field services
• Experience with emergency response work, overnight shifts, on-call schedules, or variable project assignments
• Experience with specialized cleaning machinery, restoration equipment, pressure systems, odor control equipment, and chemical management
