Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Minnesota, requiring a valid MN RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with two units: Tamarack (20 beds) and Aspen Memory Care Unit (20 beds)
- Patient population includes long-term care residents, including those with dementia on the Memory Care Unit
- Day shift staffing ratio is one RN/LPN per unit; night shift staffing is one RN/LPN covering both units
- CNA support includes up to 3 CNAs per unit on day/evening shifts and 1-2 CNAs per unit on nights
- 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), with a days and weekend rotation
- Typically every other weekend required, with potential for more
- Holiday coverage required
- No floating between units
- Charting system: MEDITECH (primary posting) / PointClickCare (unit notes)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Minnesota (MN) RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- LTC or post-acute care experience preferred given the care setting
- Dementia care training required prior to start
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care across two LTC units, including a dedicated Memory Care Unit for residents with dementia
- Physicians round daily with 4–5 private practice physicians on staff
- Orientation consists of 3 shifts for RN/LPN staff
- Mandatory overtime may be required
- Must be flexible, as assignments can change during shifts
- Positive contribution to a team-oriented culture is important to this facility
- Any scrub color is acceptable
