Location: Tampa, FL 33634 (Onsite)

Pay: $23.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM (4x10-hour schedule with a 30-minute lunch break) | No overtime required

Employment Type: W2 12-Month Assignment with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on business needs. Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join a leading specialty pharmacy organization in Tampa, FL. This position plays a critical role in the prescription fulfillment process by helping ensure specialty medications are packaged, verified, and shipped accurately to patients across the country. The medications handled by this team support individuals managing complex and life-threatening conditions, including cancer, cystic fibrosis, psoriasis, asthma, and other rare diseases.

This is a fully onsite position working alongside a collaborative team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and shipping professionals. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports daily shipping operations, inventory management, supply replenishment, and courier coordination to help ensure patients receive their medications on time. Working as part of a close-knit pharmacy fulfillment team, this individual will help support the delivery of specialty medications that patients depend on every day while contributing to the smooth operation of the facility's shipping and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and prepare specialty medication shipments using the appropriate materials for refrigerated and ambient-temperature products
  • Verify that order pick tickets match shipping labels to ensure shipment accuracy
  • Prepare shipping coolers and maintain daily inventory of gel packs and cold-chain packaging supplies
  • Monitor shipping supply inventory and notify leadership when additional supplies need to be ordered
  • Receive, unload, and restock incoming supply deliveries
  • Transport completed prescription orders to courier pickup areas in preparation for FedEx and UPS pickups
  • Assist with loading and unloading medication shipments and supply deliveries
  • Maintain organization and accuracy throughout the shipping and receiving process
  • Support pharmacists, technicians, and fellow team members as needed to meet daily operational goals

Training & Onboarding

  • Participate in company orientation and facility introduction
  • Receive hands-on training at your workstation
  • Learn multiple operational areas to gain a full understanding of daily workflows
  • Work closely with experienced team members throughout the onboarding process

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or related experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience operating a pallet jack
  • Experience shipping refrigerated or cold-chain products
  • Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy, distribution, fulfillment, or regulated environments

  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail throughout the fulfillment process
