Job Description
We are looking for receiving clewrks in San Bernardino!
Schedule: 3AM or 5:00AM start time
Open weekends
Mandatory Holidays
Responsibilities:
Schedule all appointments for delivery giving the carrier a confirmation number.
· Check in and out drivers as they arrive and record the arrival time and use the departure scheduling system. Verify confirmation number and purchase order numbers.
· Obtain drivers signature on the driver’s log and paperwork.
· Prepare all of the shipping and receiving documents.
· Complete data entry functions in order to properly ship and receive product.
· Obtain approval from the supervisor for all late, early, unexpected arrivals prior to accepting the load.
· Assign the driver a door or have driver back in to the designated parking area to await door assignment. Instruct driver to monitor channel 1 on the radio or wait for notification when a door is available.
· Compare the driver’s bill of lading to the expected purchase order, make appropriate changes, ensure all bio terrorism paperwork is completed and place paperwork in appropriate box to be picked up by the receivers.
· Verify counts and check for all required signatures, once paperwork is returned from receiver. Total the number of cases and pallets for each item as recorded on the receiving document.
· Verify the totals against the bill of lading and receiving tally’s and record any discrepancies on the driver’s paperwork when signing the driver out.
· Collect payment for unloading trailer, write receipt, and verify the checks. Ensure that the check and the receipt are filled out completely.
· Ensure all information is updated in the fisher system. As follows: Arrival and Departure times, container and or trailer number, door number, cases, pallets and all comments as needed. All no shows should be cleaned up daily basis.
· Sign and date all paperwork.
· Prepare all tallies for the next day.
· Maintain a clean, neat, organized work area at all times.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to work independently.
· Ability to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts.
· Strong commitment to customer service.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals or task assignments.
· Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: must get along with co-workers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; perform work activities requiring reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.
· Basic knowledge WMS systems and AS400 platform-based software.
· Minimum data entry skills of 1400 keystrokes per minute.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications and/or experience
