Peoplelink Staffing is seeking dependable Tugger Operators to support recycling and material handling operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for collecting, transporting, and processing recyclable materials while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

Tugger Operator Job Summary:

• Collect, transport, and organize recyclable materials such as cardboard, plastic, scrap, and pallets
• Safely load and unload materials for processing and disposal
• Assist with cardboard breakdown and baling operations
• Operate in various assigned work areas based on daily operational needs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Tugger Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate tugger equipment and assist with material movement throughout the facility
• Transport recyclables to designated processing or disposal areas
• Sort and remove recyclable materials from waste streams
• Process cardboard by cutting, breaking down, and loading into balers or containers
• Organize wood pallets manually or with pallet jacks and assess condition for reuse
• Maintain and sanitize tools and equipment before, during, and after shifts
• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning work areas
• Follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, teammates, and site personnel
• Assist in different areas and perform additional duties as assigned

Work Expectations:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and kneel throughout the shift
• Lift, carry, push, and pull 10+ lbs. for extended periods
• Work in changing environments and adapt to daily operational needs
• Wear required PPE and appropriate attire for working conditions
• Maintain productivity, safety, and attendance standards

Tugger Operator Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a background check for site access
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Previous experience in recycling, material handling, or warehouse environments is a plus
