Opportunity:
1Y/1ST TIMER-Acute Care Exp WA LIC OT-Req
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required (hard stop requirement)
• IPR (Inpatient Rehabilitation) experience preferred
• Float between multiple units including acute, medical, ICU, and IRF
• Patient ratio of 1:10
• Weekend coverage required on rotating 6-week basis
• No on-call required
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Evaluate and treat patients with multi-trauma, TBI, SCI, CVA, surgical, orthopedic, Parkinson's, MS diagnoses
• Must be independent, hardworking, and demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Expected to be flexible and pick up extra patients to meet productivity standards
• Required skills include acute disorder assessment, chronic disorder management, and functional activities
• Experience with edema massage, functional splints, kinesiotaping, orthoplast, and static splints preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Washington state license required at time of submission
• 2 references required covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 16 hours
Facility:
This facility is a 104-bed short-term acute care hospital and Level III trauma center serving as a regional medical facility. The occupational therapy department requires staff to work across multiple units including acute care, medical, ICU, and an 8-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility. The hospital also provides services to same-day surgery and emergency department patients when needed. The facility uses Epic charting system and offers free parking for staff.
