DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will play an important part in coordinating services for children and adolescents who are involved in multiple support systems. Work involves ensuring each youth receives a well-organized plan that reflects their individual needs and supports strong collaboration among agencies. As a CASSP Coordinator, County Mental Health Program Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Initial Referral Review: Examine incoming referrals to determine suitability for CASSP
- Interagency Coordination: Lead meetings that bring together service partners to develop cooperative plans for youth
- Plan Development: Help create service plans that match the needs of children involved in multiple systems
- Service Network Support: Maintain working relationships across the county to promote shared decision making and joint planning
- Program Guidance: Provide technical assistance to providers and interpret policies and procedures related to service coordination
- Committee Participation: Support committees and groups that meet to strengthen county service planning efforts
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work outside of normal scheduled hours including evenings and weekends is required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
