Watch this video to see how you can make a difference at the Ebensburg Center!This position plays a key role in keeping the Residential Living Area of Ebensburg Center fully staffed and operating smoothly. It requires careful coordination, communication, and record keeping to support a 24 hour facility. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Schedule Management: Coordinate shift coverage for state and contracted staff across all units
- Record Accuracy: Maintain updated schedules, logs, reports, and attendance information
- Staff Communication: Share schedule updates with unit staff, supervisors, and management
- Overtime Coordination: Apply overtime rules and procedures to meet staffing needs without overuse
- Training Adjustments: Update schedules for trainings, meetings, and special assignments
- Emergency Updates: Send staffing and overtime messages through the communication system

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.
- Rotating days off and every other weekend off.
- Schedule details including rotating and break days to be further discussed during interview.
- May change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
