Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and independence as a contract physical therapist for Extended School Year services. This on-site position runs from July 6, 2026, through July 31, 2026, offering weekday hours (Monday–Friday, 5 hours/day) and a manageable caseload of 10-15 students. You’ll deliver vital PT services designed to help students reach their goals in a supportive and collaborative school setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based PT preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently to manage on-site responsibilities
- Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services as outlined in students’ individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other school specialists to coordinate support plans
- Monitor, assess, and document progress while adjusting interventions as needed
- Maintain professional and compliant records following school and state protocols
- Facilitate a positive, inclusive environment where students can maximize their abilities
- Communicate clearly with parents and staff to share student progress and recommendations
