Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist with strong experience in re-evaluations, particularly at the high school level. This position, based near Auburn, KS, will span from 8/6/26 to 5/21/27, providing vital psychological services within a welcoming educational environment. The district offers flexibility regarding specific grade level and caseload assignments, but there is an immediate need for expertise in high school re-evaluations.
Ideal candidates are passionate about student well-being and adept in collaborating with educators and families to foster success for every learner.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Kansas School Psychologist license required
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 public school setting preferred
- Expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological re-evaluations, especially at the high school level
- Proficiency with IEP and RTI processes
- Strong consultation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting caseload needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete timely psychological evaluations and re-evaluations, predominantly for high school students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive intervention plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultation as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with state and district guidelines
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs through data-driven recommendations
