Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding role working with high school and transition-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract position starting August 18, 2026, and continuing through June 2, 2027. This full-time assignment (37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3pm) provides a structured schedule and the opportunity to make a real impact on students with complex needs in an educational setting near Elgin, IL.
What we’re looking for:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience supporting high school and/or transition-aged students
- Proven background working with students with complex communication needs
- Expertise in implementing and supporting assistive technology strategies
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support professionals
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to high school and transition-aged students with diverse needs
- Assess student abilities and develop customized goals and intervention plans
- Integrate assistive technology tools and strategies to enhance student communication and participation
- Document progress and maintain clear communication with staff and families
- Support IEP development and participate in relevant meetings
- Provide training and resources to staff regarding assistive technology and communication supports
