Key Responsibilities
Product Development & R&D
• Develop new food products and enhance existing formulations
• 1-4 years of industry experience required- Experience with Quality Assurance techniques, batch record review, CAPA, and deviation investigations required within food manufacturing
• Apply food science principles to support formulation, innovation, and product optimization
Testing & Evaluation
• Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory analysis of products
• Perform shelf-life studies and stability testing
• Analyze data and provide recommendations on product improvements and next steps
Documentation & Specifications
• Maintain detailed and organized product development records
• Create and update product specifications and technical documentation
Customer & Cross-Functional Support
• Prepare product samples for customer presentations and trade shows
• Collaborate with sales teams to meet customer requirements (cost, ingredients, functionality)
• Support technologists during scale-up activities and plant trials
Ingredients & Sourcing
• Source and evaluate new ingredients and flavor profiles
• Review and approve raw material documentation and assess ingredient performance
Project & Process Support
• Assist with productivity initiatives and process improvements
• Support scale-up from lab development to full manufacturing (pilot → plant)

Education
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
PCQI certification HACCP certification- Required
Experience
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in food R&D or product development
• Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred-1-4 years of industry experience required- Experience with Quality Assurance techniques, batch record review, CAPA, and deviation investigations required within food manufacturing
Technical Skills
Knowledge of:
• Food formulation and product development
• GMP and HACCP principles
• Shelf-life studies and sensory evaluation
Familiarity with:
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Soft Skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
