We are looking for a Controller to support financial operations for a healthcare-focused organization in Vermont. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who can balance accounting oversight with strong document management practices. The role will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, month-end activities, and organized financial record handling while partnering with teams across the business.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activities and help maintain accurate financial records that support timely reporting and operational decisions.
• Lead month-end close tasks, including reviewing account activity, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling financial data, analyzing trends, and supporting planning discussions.
• Manage document control activities by organizing, tracking, and maintaining financial records in a clear and compliant manner.
• Perform document scanning and compilation work to ensure critical files are complete, accessible, and properly archived.
• Support healthcare-related financial operations, including work connected to revenue cycle processes and reporting needs.
• Use MEDITECH and related systems to review financial information, produce reports, and maintain data accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, improve reporting quality, and support ongoing financial planning efforts.• At least 3 years of experience in a Controller or related accounting/finance role.
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
• Strong background in document control, document scanning, and maintaining organized business records.
• Familiarity with financial planning processes and analysis of operational financial data.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment, including exposure to revenue cycle functions.
• Proficiency with MEDITECH or similar financial and healthcare information systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract setting.
