Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator
Job Description
This role supports a busy distribution warehouse by safely operating forklifts and related equipment to move, stage, load, and unload materials for shipment. The Warehouse Associate uses RF scanners and basic computer systems to complete inventory tasks, cycle counts, and work order picking while working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down propane forklifts safely in tight areas inside the plant and outside in the yard.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while protecting product quality and maintaining safety standards.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and yard, organizing products for pickup and shipment.
- Use RF scanners to accurately pick work orders for shipment and update inventory records.
- Perform inventory activities, including cycle counting and data entry into computer systems.
- Stage orders and materials in designated areas to ensure timely and accurate shipping.
- Operate wrap machines to secure pallets and prepare loads for transport.
- Use reach forklifts and cherry pickers as needed to access and move materials.
- Follow all safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse equipment.
- Communicate clearly with the shipping and receiving team to coordinate daily workload and priorities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the warehouse and yard.
- Comply with all hiring and workplace requirements, including any pre-employment screenings.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience operating sit-down propane forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely in tight and confined areas.
- Hands-on experience with RF scanners for picking, inventory, and work order processing.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory updates.
- Experience with warehouse shipping and receiving processes.
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating practices and safety procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to stage, sort, and prioritize materials and orders.
- High level of communication skills to work effectively with team members across shifts.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Valid and current Class A driver’s license.
- Safety-oriented mindset with consistent attention to detail.

- Experience working in a distribution or logistics setting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a distribution warehouse shipping and receiving team that operates across three shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. The role involves working both indoors on the warehouse floor and outdoors in the yard, including in hot and cold weather conditions. You will regularly operate sit-down propane forklifts, reach forklifts, cherry pickers, RF scanners, wrap machines, and computer systems as part of daily operations. The environment is safety-focused, fast-paced, and team-oriented, with frequent coordination between shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.90 - $17.60/hr.
