American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Location: Southeastern New Mexico
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (07:00 - 15:00). On-call required 1-2 weekdays per week and 1-2 weekends per month. Daily census of 5-6 cases across 5 operating rooms. Patient ratio of 1:1.
Highlights:- 91-day travel assignment at a 61-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Work with orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatry surgical cases
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
- Free parking and supportive orientation process
- Epic charting system in use
- Serve diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience; previous travel experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Knowledge and skills in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, and podiatry procedures
- Experience with laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacements, trauma care, conscious sedation monitoring, and ambulatory OR
- Ability to work independently with strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
